Halloween is just around the corner, so I thought it would be a good idea to share my Pumpkin soup recipe. The soup is extremely easy to make, and since I have a soup maker at home, it is also very convenient. You can change quantities of the ingredients based on your liking or based on how much quantities you have available. It will still turn out delicious!
Ingredients:
1 bowl cut pumpkin pieces
3/4th bowl cut carrot pieces
1 medium onion1 big clove garlic
3-4 black pepper kernels
salt to taste
1/4th cup milk (optional)
Recipe:
1. If making it in a soup-maker, just add all the ingredients (except the milk) in the soup-maker with water, set the soup style to 'smooth' and your soup is ready in 23 minutes!
Then pour in a vessel and bring to boil with the milk. Some like the creamy texture that comes with milk; I don't, my mom does. It's up to you. If you don't want the milk, just pour the ready soup from the soup-maker into your serving bowl.
2. If making in a pressure cooker, cook all ingredients (except the milk) and when done, puree in a mixer with some water. Then add milk if desired, as explained above.

Spiders web for the plating -
Since it was Halloween time, I decided to make the spider's web. For this you will need 1/2 cup yogurt, some saffron and a ziplock bag/piping bag, toothpick/wooden skewer.
Mix the yogurt and the saffron and keep aside for around 20 mins till the saffron oozes color. Mix well.
Pour the mixture in the ziplock bag and in the corner cut a small hole (something like a henna cone) When the yogurt oozes, try drawing lines on a plate. Adjust size of the hole accordingly.
Then hold carefully on the soup bowl and draw semi circles as shown below. With a skewer gently pull lines cutting through the semi circles - from the center of the web outwards. Your spider web is ready to wow!
Am making this on Saturday! So excited. I loved pumpkins and I love soups. Rab ne banai jodi!!
